Photographing Birds

I experimented photographing birds and the most challenging thing for me was that birds don't sit still, so getting a good angle and the right lighting is difficult. Also, if you use manual focus, it is extremely difficult to capture a jumpy bird. Even with auto focus, the camera doesn't always keep the majority of the bird clear. Equipment that can help getting clear photos even with an energetic bird would include a telephoto lens to try and zoom into the bird on the ground and also a tripod to keep the camera as steady and level as possible. If you can, experiment with angles and adjust your shutter speed to something like 1/800 for a jittery bird to make sure it stays as much in focus as possible.

Water

Yes, I am aware that the grass to the left is very unattractive. Note to self: don't face away from the sun when you take pictures during a bad light time. I took other pictures facing the sun and the green of the grass turned out really nice but I wasn't able to get any good water ones from the other angle.
